This award winning Waiheke Island home designed by JDA Studio is placed on an impressive coastal site with unprecedented views of Anzac Bay. Working closely with the clients and the architect of this new build was essential in enhancing the natural features of the site and the impressive design features of this contemporary family home.
Rhopalostylis Chathamica (Chatham Nikau) with its strong architectural form was chosen as the key plant and is scattered across the landscape, lending the impression that they were there long before the home was conceptualised.
The warm up-lighting beneath key specimen trees and the impressive stone feature wall guide visitors toward the primary entrance via a long path formed with concrete steps and stepping stones.
